Just docked in Málaga? These are the closest rooftop bars to the cruise port — all walkable from Muelle 1, with views of the sea, cathedral, and Alcazaba.
You've docked. You've got a few hours. Here's where to go.
We've split this into two groups. The first lot are so close you can drink a cocktail and still see your ship. The second are 5–15 minutes into town — worth the walk, but you'll need to keep an eye on the time.
Close enough to see your ship: Worth the walk into town:
Cobalto 15

Walk from Muelle 1: Right on the port
Cobalto 15 is a rooftop restaurant at Muelle Uno, Paseo de la Farola 4. You're walking along the port promenade and it's right there above you. Sea views, solid food menu, opens at noon.
If you want a proper sit-down lunch with a view before heading into town, this is the one.
Hours: Daily 12pm–midnight
Best for: A leisurely lunch on the port before exploring the city.
Nusa

Walk from Muelle 1: Right on the port
Nusa is a tropical cocktail bar at Muelle Uno, Paseo de la Farola 6 — next door to Cobalto. Harbour views, exotic cocktail menu, and a vibe that's more bar than restaurant.
Opens at noon. Good if you want a drink rather than a full meal, or if you want to start at the port and work your way into town.
Hours: Mon–Thu & Sun 12pm–midnight | Fri–Sat 12pm–1am
Best for: Cocktails with harbour views right off the ship.
La Terraza Surfera (Salao)

Walk from Muelle 1: Right on the port
La Terraza Surfera — known locally as Salao — is the open-air terrace at the Salao Street Food space on Muelle Uno, Paseo de la Farola 8. Street food, craft cocktails, relaxed crowd. The most casual of the three port venues.
Opens at noon. Good for a quick drink and a bite without any fuss.
Hours: Mon–Thu 12pm–midnight | Fri–Sun 12pm–1am
Best for: Casual drinks and street food without leaving the port.
Trocadero de las Botes

Walk from Muelle 1: 15 minutes along the promenade
Trocadero de las Botes is the one you walk past on the way into town. It sits on Paseo de la Farola, right on the promenade between the cruise terminal and Muelle Uno. Sea views, relaxed vibe, no need to go anywhere near the old town if you're short on time.
It's an easy stop on the walk in or out. Get there, get a drink, watch the boats, and carry on.
Hours: Mon–Thu 1pm–11pm | Fri–Sat 1pm–11:30pm | Sun 1pm–10:30pm
Best for: Cruise passengers with limited time who want a drink with sea views without walking far into the city.
AC Hotel Málaga Palacio

Walk from Muelle 1: 5–10 minutes
AC Hotel Málaga Palacio is the gold standard Málaga rooftop. It sits on Cortina del Muelle, literally facing the port. The views take in the sea, the Alcazaba, Gibralfaro Castle, the cathedral, and the old town — everything in one sweep.
It's the one you'll see in every article about Málaga. Open from 12:30pm, walk-in welcome, no reservation needed.
Cocktails run €10–15. Worth every cent for the setting.
Hours: Mon–Thu & Sun 12:30pm–midnight | Fri–Sat 12:30pm–1am
Best for: The definitive Málaga rooftop experience. If you only have time for one, make it this one.
Lolita Skyview

Walk from Muelle 1: 5–8 minutes
Lolita Skyview is on the 8th floor on Alameda Principal, the main boulevard between the port and the old town. You get sea and cathedral views in one sweep, the cocktails are good, and it's noticeably cheaper than the big hotel rooftops.
Opens at 1:30pm. Walk straight in.
Hours: Daily 1:30pm–10:45pm
Best for: Panoramic views on a slightly tighter budget. A good alternative if AC Palacio is packed.
La Terraza de Valeria

Walk from Muelle 1: 5–8 minutes
La Terraza de Valeria is the rooftop bar at Room Mate Valeria in Soho, Málaga's arts district between the port and the old town. It opens at 11am — earlier than most — which makes it the best option if your ship docks in the morning and you want a drink before noon.
Views of the city, relaxed atmosphere, solid cocktail menu.
Hours: Mon–Thu & Sun 11am–midnight | Fri–Sat 11am–2am
Best for: Morning and early afternoon arrivals. One of the few rooftops open from 11am.
Terraza Catedral

Walk from Muelle 1: 8–10 minutes
Terraza Catedral is above the OXO Museum on Plaza del Siglo. Smaller than the hotel rooftops, which means you'll actually get a seat. Cathedral right in front of you, Spanish drinks and decent tapas, opens at noon.
Less polished than AC Palacio, but that's why it's easier to walk into.
Hours: Mon–Thu & Sun 12pm–1am | Fri–Sat 12pm–2am
Best for: Cruise passengers who want cathedral views without the crowds of the main hotel rooftops.
Vincci Larios Diez

Walk from Muelle 1: 10–12 minutes
Vincci Larios Diez is at the top end of Calle Larios — Málaga's main pedestrian shopping street, which you'll likely walk along anyway getting into town. The rooftop opens at 11am, the views cover the old town, and you're already walking past the building.
Good option if you want to combine some sightseeing on Calle Larios with a rooftop drink.
Hours: Daily 11am–12:30am
Best for: Early arrivals or anyone walking up Calle Larios into the old town.
How to Plan Your Time
If you have 2 hours: Walk straight to Trocadero de las Botes on the promenade (15 min walk), have a drink with sea views, and walk back. Done.
If you have 4 hours: Walk along Muelle Uno into town. Head to AC Hotel Málaga Palacio for the best views in the city. Then walk Calle Larios back toward the port, stopping at Vincci if you still have time.
If you have 6+ hours: Start at La Terraza de Valeria (opens 11am, good for morning arrivals), then explore the old town. Hit AC Palacio or Terraza Catedral for afternoon drinks, and walk back along the promenade past Trocadero on your way to the ship.
Getting back on time
All of these venues are within 15–20 minutes' walk of the cruise terminal. Factor in time to walk back — don't rely on taxis during busy port days, they can take a while. Leave earlier than you think you need to.
Alcazaba Fortress
Málaga's 11th-century Moorish fortress is a 15-minute walk from the port and takes about an hour to explore. The views from the top over the city and sea are worth the uphill walk.
“Entry is €3.50. Combine it with a rooftop drink at AC Palacio next door for the best morning in Málaga.”
AC Hotel Málaga Palacio - The closest hotel to both the Alcazaba and the port. If you ever want to stay overnight rather than cruise through.
