Hotel rooftop pool with city views, hotel guests only
The rooftop pool at Well&Come is a hotel-guests-only pool on Calle Madre de Dios in Málaga's Old Town.
No day passes. If you want to swim here, you need to book a stay.
I came up mid-afternoon in late spring and had the water mostly to myself. It's a small rooftop plunge pool, not a lap pool, but it's well kept and the setting is modern. Cathedral and old-town rooftops fill the view, and the Well&Come rooftop bar is right there for drinks and food.
Best For
- Hotel guests who want pool access included with their stay
- Couples wanting a quiet rooftop pool
- Anyone staying on Calle Madre de Dios who wants a dip
Not Ideal For
- Non-guests, there are no day passes
- Alcazaba views (you get the cathedral, not the fortress)
- Anyone wanting a large pool for proper swimming

Best Times to Visit

- Early afternoon: Warmest swimming, busiest with other guests
- Around 7:00 PM: The pool empties as guests move to the bar for sunset drinks
The Pool & Atmosphere
It's a small rooftop plunge pool, modern and well kept, made for cooling off rather than swimming laps. The terrace around it has loungers and just enough room to spread out without sitting on top of other guests.
During the day it stays relaxed and quiet. By early evening the mood shifts as people drift from the water to the bar while the sun drops over the rooftops.
- Small plunge-style pool, not for proper swimming
- Loungers on the surrounding terrace
- Poolside service from the rooftop bar
- Quiet by day, livelier at sunset
- City and cathedral outlook from the water

The View
The cathedral is the headline. Its tower rises straight out of the old-town rooftops, close enough to pick out the stonework.
Around it you get a wide sweep of terracotta roofs and the hills behind the city. It's an Old Town view, not a sea view, so don't expect the port or the bay from here. At sunset the light catches the cathedral and the whole roofline warms up.
For a pool with the cathedral dome right at the terrace edge, the Hotel Molina Lario rooftop pool has the closest view in the city.
Sunrise at Gibralfaro Castle
Watch the sun rise over Malaga from the highest point in the city. The views stretch from the bullring to the port and beyond.
“The castle opens at 9am, but staying at the Parador gives you access to the terrace at dawn - before anyone else arrives.”
Parador de Malaga Gibralfaro - The only hotel with direct castle access. Wake up and walk straight onto the terrace for sunrise.

- Pool towels provided

- Full food and drink service from the rooftop bar
- Shade from the pergola and parasols
- Hotel spa downstairs with a heated indoor pool and sauna
- Lift access from the hotel lobby to the rooftop
The spa is the one to know about. On a cool or wet day the rooftop pool isn't much use, but the heated indoor pool and sauna give guests somewhere to swim year-round.

Our Verdict
A good pool for hotel guests. It won't compete with the bigger hotel pools at Lolita Skyview or H10 Croma, but it's a solid perk if you're staying here.
The location does the heavy lifting. You're in the Old Town, on a street with other good rooftops within walking distance and the cathedral a few minutes away. For how it stacks up against the other options, see our guide to Málaga hotels with rooftop pools.
