B-Heaven at Barceló Málaga is the city's only rooftop pool with a day pass for non-guests — €45 with lunch, a sunbed and towel. Here's how to visit.
If you want a rooftop pool day pass in Málaga, there's exactly one to book. B-Heaven at Barceló Málaga, directly above Málaga's María Zambrano train station, lets you use its 8th-floor rooftop pool for the day without booking a room, from €45.
Every other hotel rooftop pool in the city is guests-only. Málaga gets hot, often into the mid-30s in summer, so a day pass is the way to swim up high without paying for a night.
I live in Málaga, so this is where I come when I feel like a day at the pool without leaving the city. Below is what the pass gets you, plus where else to cool off if you'd rather skip the rooftop. For a pool day that isn't on a hotel roof, Isla Pool Club is a purpose-built club 10 minutes from the centre.
How Much Is a Rooftop Pool Day Pass in Málaga?
A rooftop pool day pass in Málaga costs €45 per person at B-Heaven, and that includes a sunbed, towel service and a two-course Andalusian lunch. It's the only rooftop pool in the city you can pay to use for the day.
For comparison, Isla Pool Club runs €50–80 with lunch and drinks, and beach clubs along the coast vary widely. B-Heaven is the cheapest way to get a rooftop pool and a meal in one ticket.
Do You Need to Book the B-Heaven Day Pass in Advance?
You don't strictly need to reserve. You can buy the pass at the Barceló Málaga reception and head up to the 8th floor.
That said, sunbeds are limited and the deck fills on hot weekends. Booking ahead is the safe move in July and August. Hotel guests get pool access included with their stay.
B-Heaven Rooftop Pool Day Pass at Barceló Málaga

B-Heaven at Barceló Málaga sits on the 8th floor, directly above María Zambrano train station. It's the one rooftop pool in the city that sells a day pass, so you can swim and sunbathe up here without a room.
The view leans urban skyline rather than old town or sea, but the deck is calm, the loungers are spaced out, and the airport train runs from the station below.
What's Included in the Day Pass?
From €45 per person, the B-Heaven day pass includes:
- Full access to the rooftop pool and sun loungers
- Towel service
- A two-course lunch inspired by local Andalusian flavours
- A calm, uncrowded environment to unwind in the sun
- Open daily 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Adults only (18+)
- No reservation strictly required, but loungers are limited
Vibe & Atmosphere
This isn't a party rooftop. B-Heaven leans more urban zen than Ibiza, with city views, sleek design, and low-key lounging over a cocktail or two. It's ideal for couples, solo travellers, or digital nomads taking a day off.
Location & Access
Located at the Barceló Málaga, the rooftop is easy to reach on public transport, and it makes a smart pre-flight stop thanks to the airport train running direct from the station next door.
Good to Know
- Sun beds are limited, so arrive early to get a good spot
- There's no loud music or DJ — this is a relaxing rooftop, not a beach club
- The pool isn't large, but it's a stylish spot to cool off in the heat

Sunrise at Gibralfaro Castle
Watch the sun rise over Malaga from the highest point in the city. The views stretch from the bullring to the port and beyond.
“The castle opens at 9am, but staying at the Parador gives you access to the terrace at dawn - before anyone else arrives.”
Parador de Malaga Gibralfaro - The only hotel with direct castle access. Wake up and walk straight onto the terrace for sunrise.
