The other four welcome children by day. Celeste Skybar and Sky Lounge both lean adult once the evening entertainment and dinner service start, but neither turns kids away.

If you want a guaranteed child-free sunset, NIx is the safe choice.

Sky Lounge, Almika, and NIx Sky Bar have the best sunset in Benalmádena, all three west-facing and dropping the sun straight into the Mediterranean. Sky Lounge and Almika sit low, close to the waterline, while NIx gives you the height from twelve floors up.

Arrive 30 to 45 minutes before sunset to claim a west-facing table, especially on summer weekends when the prime spots book out.

1. Celeste Skybar

Celeste Skybar, atop Spirit Hotel Benalmádena Beach, is dinner and a show, literally.

The panoramic Mediterranean views carry sunset on their own. What sets it apart is the entertainment programming: fire performances, bartender theatrics, live music on the right night.

Prices sit at the higher end, so come for an occasion rather than a casual round.

2. Nix Sky Bar

Twelve floors above the coast, NIx Sky Bar is the rare genuinely adults-only rooftop on this stretch of the Costa del Sol. No family-hotel energy, no children.

This seasonal skybar (March through October) sits atop Hotel Benalma and draws a mature crowd for sunset cocktails. The Mediterranean views run the length of the coastline.

Food is Asian-inspired sharing plates, gyozas, baos, and croquettes, built for pairing with drinks rather than a full dinner.

3. Sky Lounge Bar and Restaurant

Sky Lounge brings Meliá polish to Benalmádena's rooftop scene, on the 7th floor of Hotel Las Arenas by Santa Ana beach.

It works as both restaurant and cocktail bar, so you can do full Mediterranean dining or just sunset drinks with small plates.

The terrace faces west across the marina and Castillo de Bil Bil, which makes golden hour the time to book a table.

4. Almika

Right on Paseo Marítimo above the promenade, Almika is the pick if you want to stay close to the sand.

It sits on the first floor of the Las Gaviotas building, high enough for clear Mediterranean views, low enough that you can wander back down to the beach between drinks. The menu leans coastal: fresh seafood, grilled fish, paellas.

It's also the most family-friendly rooftop on this list, with mid-range pricing that lands between basic beach bars and hotel terraces.

5. Flip Flop Bar

On Avenida Antonio Machado, Flip Flop Bar is the cheapest rooftop bar in Benalmádena on this list, and the casual, budget end of the spectrum. Straightforward drinks, coastal views, zero pretension.

The name tells you the dress code. This is the antidote to upscale hotel rooftops where you worry about what to wear and how much each round costs.

Flip-flops are welcome, beers run €3-5, and the crowd skews local and laid-back rather than polished.
