The best rooftop restaurants in Torremolinos for sea views and Mediterranean food, from a local who's tried them all. Menus, hours, and booking tips.
Torremolinos doesn't have dozens of rooftop restaurants. It has five worth knowing about, and I've eaten at all of them.
The town's rooftop dining scene sits mostly along the beachfront strip between Bajondillo and La Carihuela. Each terrace offers a different take on eating above the Med, from poolside tuna tartare at the Melia to a proper sit-down gastrobar with Spanish tapas and regional wines. Some are dressed-up hotel rooftops. Others feel more like elevated beach bars with better food than you'd expect.
Here's where to eat with a view in Torremolinos, ranked by the quality of both the food and the experience.
Can You Eat at Rooftop Bars in Torremolinos?
Yes, but the food varies wildly. Space Monkey and Gastrobar Sireno serve full dinner menus with proper mains. Sky and Sea leans toward Mediterranean small plates. Barracuda and The Clocktower offer bar food: nachos, skewers, loaded fries, and Iberian ham platters.
If you want a sit-down meal, Space Monkey and Gastrobar Sireno are the two to prioritise. The rest are better treated as drinks-first spots where you can graze rather than dine. For the full picture of every rooftop in town, including the drinks-only terraces, see our guide to the best rooftop bars in Torremolinos.
Do You Need to Book a Rooftop Restaurant in Torremolinos?
For Space Monkey and Gastrobar Sireno, yes, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings. Both have limited terrace seating and locals fill them fast. Call the restaurant directly or book through their website.
The other three, Sky and Sea, Barracuda, and The Clocktower, are walk-in only. Arrive an hour before sunset if you want a prime table, particularly at Barracuda where the best seats face west. Midweek you can generally turn up at any time and find a spot.
Sky and Sea

The infinity pool and Bali beds get all the attention, but the Mediterranean bites at Sky and Sea are what bring me back. Tuna tartare, guacamole, and crisp wine while looking straight out at the sea from the Melia's top floor. It's adults-only (16+), so the terrace stays calm even in peak season.

Space Monkey

This is the closest Torremolinos gets to a proper rooftop restaurant. Space Monkey serves grilled entrecote, Iberian pork, and a Wagyu burger that locals actually talk about. The kitchen runs until 23:00, and live guitar kicks in Thursday to Saturday. Glass railings mean nothing blocks the sea view from your table.

Gastrobar Sireno

The most food-focused rooftop on this list. Gastrobar Sireno sits on the 6th floor of Hotel Sireno and serves modern Spanish tapas, think truffle risotto, octopus with smoked paprika, and croquetas de jamon. It's adults-only, open to the public, and quieter than the beachfront spots. I'd pick this for a proper dinner with wine rather than cocktails by the pool.
Essential info

- Yes, open to non-hotel guests
- Vibe:
- Grown-up, candlelit gastro dining with city and sea views
- Drinks:
- Cocktails, regional wines, cava, beer

Barracuda

On the 10th floor of Hotel La Barracuda, this is the terrace you wander up to after a day on Playa de la Carihuela. Barracuda doesn't try to be a restaurant. It's a sundowner spot with bar food, chicken skewers, nachos, Iberian ham, and the prices stay fair. The sunset over the Med from up here is the real draw.
Essential info
- Open to the public:
- Yes, walk-in only, no booking needed
- Vibe:
- Laid-back hotel rooftop with wicker chairs and sunset views
- Drinks:
- Pina coladas, spritzes, gin and tonics, beer

- Bar bites: chicken skewers, nachos, Iberian ham platters
- Live music:
- Occasional live music evenings
- Pool access:
- No pool access for non-guests
- Note:
- Open daily 18:00-00:00. Walk-in only. Family-friendly early evening.

The Clocktower

More sports bar than restaurant, but The Clocktower earns its spot for the burgers, the energy, and the fact that it's open until 4am on weekends. Nachos, loaded fries, and cold pints under string lights on Plaza Costa del Sol. Live music and DJs keep it buzzing after dark. Come here for the atmosphere, not a quiet dinner.
Essential info

- Yes, open to everyone
- Vibe:
- Lively sports bar with rooftop terrace and late-night energy
- Drinks:
- Pina coladas, mojitos, pints, cocktails
