I went up expecting a quiet hotel terrace. I found families in the pool, couples on the loungers, and a bartender muddling fresh fruit into every drink.

Sky Bar sits on top of Torre Sancho at Hotel El Puerto by Pierre & Vacances, Paseo Marítimo Rey de España 32, on Fuengirola's beachfront promenade. Take the lift through the hotel lobby to the rooftop. It's open to the public, not just hotel guests.

Don't confuse it with the town's other sky bars. This one is sometimes branded "Albatros" or "Top Sky Bar P&V" after the hotel. It is not Sky Bar Veramar, the ByCosmos-run rooftop atop Hotel Veramar a few minutes up the promenade. Different hotel, different bar, similar name.

The Vibe

The pool is what changes everything here. It pulls the energy down from formal rooftop to casual resort, and the sea views do the rest.

From the top of Torre Sancho, the view runs the full width of the bay. The hotel calls it "touching Fuengirola's sky", and on a clear evening that's not far off.

I left Sky Bar relaxed rather than wowed, and that's exactly its appeal. It's an easy, unpretentious rooftop where you can swim, sip a fresh-fruit cocktail, and watch the sun drop into the sea without dressing up or booking ahead.

The honest catch is service. Reviews flag it as slow at busy times, and on a packed evening you'll wait for that mojito. Go a touch early and the pace eases.

Best for: families, pool-and-drinks afternoons, and casual sunset sessions on the seafront.

Skip if: you want a polished adults-only cocktail lounge or guaranteed quick service at peak.
