Mountain views, candlelit cocktails, and Mediterranean cuisine on Marbella's Golden Mile.
Cielo Rooftop sits above Florentine on Marbella's Golden Mile, and it's the strip's first rooftop restaurant. The terrace looks straight at La Concha, the mountain that frames the whole town.
I went for sunset cocktails and stayed for dinner. The 360° cocktail bar, the candlelight, the breeze off the sea: it all builds toward that moment when the light turns gold over La Concha.
It's open to the public, so you don't need a dinner reservation to come up for a drink. This page covers the view, the menu and prices, how to book, the dress code, and how to find the entrance through the Forum building.
Best For
- Couples looking for a romantic Marbella dinner spot
- Friends meeting for cocktails before a night out
- Travellers seeking a rooftop with both food and drinks
Not Ideal For
- Daytime pool-goers (no pool access)
- Budget travellers (pricing is premium)

Where Is Cielo Rooftop in Marbella?
Cielo sits on top of the Forum building on Marbella's Golden Mile, the stretch of coast between the Marbella Club and Puente Romano. The address is Bulevar Príncipe Alfonso de Hohenlohe 7, a short taxi from Marbella centre.
It's the Golden Mile's first rooftop restaurant, not just a rooftop bar, so you can settle in for a full dinner with the same La Concha view. You enter through Florentine on the ground floor and head up to the open-air terrace.

The Vibe
You climb a mirrored staircase from the Florentine dining room and step out onto the open terrace. The design runs to sleek wood decking, candlelit tables, and lounge seating framed by potted palms. It's stylish without trying too hard.
By early evening the bar fills with a mix of Marbella locals, expats, and travellers having cocktails before dinner. The soundtrack leans Balearic, relaxed but refined, and it works for a date night or a pre-party gathering.
Cielo is the rooftop arm of Florentine, an Italian kitchen, so the food carries real weight rather than playing second to the bar. The mood shifts as the sun drops, from golden-hour aperitifs to dinner under string lights.
I came up for one drink and left two hours later, a bottle of wine down. Come at 8pm in summer to catch the light before the dinner crowd lands.

Drinks
The drinks menu features the Cielo Martini as the signature order, alongside spritzes and fresh-fruit cocktails perfect for warm Marbella evenings.

The wine list runs deep, with Spanish and international bottles curated for pairings with seafood and grilled mains.
Food
The rooftop shares Florentine's full kitchen, so you're not limited to bar snacks. The Italian-Mediterranean a la carte menu includes:
- Lobster ravioli
- Charcoal-grilled seabass
- Beef carpaccio with truffle oil
Main courses range from 25-45 euros, with starters and sharing plates from 15-25 euros.

The View & Seating
The headline view is La Concha, the shell-shaped mountain that towers over Marbella to the north. To the south the terrace opens toward the Mediterranean, with golden-hour light spilling across the sea. That north-south spread is what sets Cielo apart from coast-only rooftops.
At the centre sits the 360° cocktail bar, so you keep the view whichever seat you take. Ask for a terrace-edge table on the mountain side for the best of La Concha.
Seating options include:
- Intimate two-person tables along the terrace edge (best for couples)
- Larger communal tables in the centre for groups
- Cushioned lounge areas for cocktails-only nights
- Bar seating for solo visitors or casual drinks
The terrace fills up quickly during sunset hours, so arriving early or booking ahead secures the best spots.
How to Make a Reservation
Reservations are strongly recommended for dinner and sunset hours, especially in July and August. Walk-ins are more likely to be seated on weekdays or in the shoulder seasons.
Book through the Cielo reservation page, or email marbella@florentinerestaurants.com. Ask for a terrace-edge table on the mountain side when you book. It's not guaranteed, but it's worth flagging early.
Sunrise Walk Along Marbella's Golden Mile
Walk the famous Golden Mile beachfront promenade at dawn when the Mediterranean glows pink and orange. This 4km stretch between Marbella and Puerto Banús is stunning before the crowds arrive, with empty beach clubs and pristine sand.
“The best stretch runs from Puente Romano to Puerto Banús. Start at 7am in summer or 8am in winter to catch the golden hour light. Most tourists are still sleeping - you'll have the beach practically to yourself.”
Amàre Beach Hotel Marbella - Right on the Golden Mile beachfront. Step directly from your room onto the promenade for sunrise walks before most tourists wake up.
Check AvailabilityWhat's the Dress Code at Cielo Marbella?
The dress code is smart casual. Beachwear, swimwear, flip-flops and athletic gear aren't allowed, so think elegant-but-relaxed evening wear. Nobody expects a jacket and tie, but you'll feel out of place in shorts and trainers.
What works:
- Smart casual evening wear
- Light linen shirts and summer dresses
- Polished summer outfits
- Closed-toe shoes or elegant sandals
What does not work:
- Beachwear or swimwear
- Overly casual clothing (flip-flops, athletic wear)
- Very casual shorts
Access & Getting There
How to find it: Cielo sits on top of the Forum building on the Golden Mile, between the Marbella Club and Puente Romano. Enter through Florentine on the ground floor and head up the mirrored staircase to the terrace.
Who can visit: Open to both diners and guests coming up just for drinks, with no hotel stay required. After 9pm it's over-19s only, so the late evening skews to an adult crowd.

Our Verdict
I'd go back to Cielo anytime I'm in Marbella, payday permitting. The mix of proper rooftop dining, a well-built cocktail list, and that La Concha backdrop makes it one of the city's best evening terraces.
It's stylish without being pretentious. If you want a louder, club-style night instead, Pangea down the coast leans party rather than dinner.
Best for: Romantic dinners, pre-night-out cocktails with friends, and anyone wanting a sophisticated Marbella evening with proper food and drinks.
Skip if: You're on a tight budget, or you want daytime swimming. Cielo is an evening spot with premium pricing and no pool, so check the rooftop pools in Marbella instead.
For atmosphere, food, and that La Concha glow, Cielo earns its place on the Golden Mile.
