360 Blue Sky Bar Rooftop Pool in Marbella

The rooftop pool at 360 Blue Sky Bar sits atop Óbal Urban Hotel Marbella, a 400m² terrace above the busy streets of central Marbella. I came up for a midday swim and stayed for the views over the terracotta rooftops of the Old Town toward Sierra Blanca.

It's a small pool, more dip than swim. By day it's a calm guests-only deck wrapped around a living green wall; from late afternoon the terrace opens to the public and the bar takes over. This page covers pool access, hours, the swim itself, food and drinks, and whether it's worth booking a room.

Let's be clear upfront: swimming is for registered hotel guests only. There's no day pass and no visitor swim access. The terrace itself opens to the public from 4pm for drinks, but the pool stays guests-only.

Pool Hours

Opening times:

• Daily: roughly 10:00am - 8:00pm, with the pool deck typically set up by 11am

Hours vary seasonally. Check with reception during your stay.

There are only about 20 sunbeds, and they go fast. Guests start claiming loungers right after the 11am setup, so come early if a sunbed matters to you.

Best times to visit:

• Late morning (11am-1pm): Quietest swim, but arrive at 11 for a sunbed
• Late afternoon (4pm-6pm): Golden light, and the terrace opens to the public
• Evening: Live music and themed nights take over and the pool empties out

The Pool & Atmosphere

The pool is a compact, shallow plunge pool for cooling off, not swimming laps. It's unheated, which is fine across a Marbella summer but cuts the season short either side. The 400m² terrace gives the deck room to breathe, and a striking vertical garden runs along one edge.

By day the vibe is calm and adult-leaning. After 4pm the music turns up and it shifts toward sundowners.

The View

It's called 360 for a reason. From the pool deck, Marbella unfolds on every side:

• East: The terracotta rooftops of Marbella Old Town, two minutes' walk below
• North: The green canopy of Parque de la Alameda, with Sierra Blanca rising behind
• South: A slice of the Mediterranean over the city skyline
• West: Open sky that turns gold at sunset

The Old Town view is the one I kept coming back to. Few central rooftops sit this close to it.

Our Verdict

The 360 Blue Sky Bar Rooftop Pool isn't the largest in Marbella, and the swim itself is short. What it gets right is location and the view, with a quiet adult deck two minutes from the Old Town and a bar a few steps away.

Be honest with yourself about the pool first. It's shallow, unheated, and the 20-odd sunbeds vanish soon after the 11am setup. For a proper swim with a day pass, the Edge rooftop pool is the better call.

Book here if: You want a stylish central Marbella base where a midday dip rolls into sunset drinks without leaving the roof.

Look elsewhere if: You want a large pool for laps, day-pass access, or you're not staying overnight.
